Our next regular debate will be held on 8 May at The Old Bank of England pub in Fleet Street, which is next to the Royal Courts of Justice. Please arrive at 6:45 for a 7 p.m. start. The motion that "this House believes that a hung parliament would be good for the UK" will be proposed by George Chiesa. The opposer will be Paul Carroll.

Founded in the year 1868, the Sylvan Debating Club seeks to be a forum in which the leading issues of the day are soundly debated.

Members come from all walks of life, and visitors are warmly welcomed.
